Night out in Roppongi

Here is a picture of Joe, Sean, Keatley, and 2 girls we met that night in Roppongi: Kaori and Yuki. Kaori and Yuki have promised to show us Tsukiji, the "fish market." It's nice to know some locals who can show us around!

Here is a picture of Keatley, my roommate, and a really great British guy we met in Roppongi: Sean. Sean works for Honda. He is an engineer who designs new car models, specifically the Honda CRV and the Civic. He has a really cool accent and is quite funny. It's amazing how English-speaking people seem to find each other even in Japan. Roppongi is full of English-speaking people. My apartment is about 1-2 miles from Roppongi, and we have been walking there a *lot*! Keatley is a great roommate. She graduated from Princeton, and is attending law school at Cumberland school of law (Samford), in Birmingham, Alabama. She plans to practice law in Atlanta when she graduates and passes the bar. She actually went to highschool with my cousin, Jennifer Sams (now deceased), in Fayetteville, GA. She remembers the highschool gym was named after my Uncle Sambo...small world!

It looks like you are really enjoying Tokyo nightlife. I bit that you didn't have many drinks at $10.00 each.

Rachel,

What a coincidence: "She actually went to highschool with my cousin, Jennifer Sams (now deceased), in Fayetteville, GA. She remembers the highschool gym was named after my Uncle Sambo...small world!"

Your blog is wonderful. Way to go.
